Recognized as a leader in the fight against malnutrition, Action Against Hunger saves the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. With 35+ years of expertise in emergency situations of conflict, natural disaster, and chronic food insecurity, water, sanitation and hygiene, the organization runs life-saving programs in some 46+ countries benefiting seven million people each year.
Action Against Hunger’s 6500+ professionals carry out innovative programs in nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water, sanitation, and hygiene. The nonprofit’s humanitarian programs directly assisted 13.5 million people in 2014, along with countless others through capacity building programs in collaboration with government ministries. Committed to principled humanitarian action, Action Against Hunger restores dignity, self-sufficiency, and independence to vulnerable populations around the world.
The organization consistently receives top marks from external evaluators; this year it earned its seventh-consecutive four star rating from Charity Navigator, a distinction only two percent of U.S.-based nonprofits achieve. 93 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to support Action Against Hunger’s programs.
The Republic of Tea established our partnership with Action Against Hunger and our Sip for Clean Water initiative in 2013, introducing the Watermelon Hibiscus Superflower™ Tea. Currently, all of our Hibiscus Superflower™ Teas, as well as our Hibiscus Watermelon Iced Tea One Cuppa™ for single service beverage machines, further support Action Against Hunger’s mission.
We are honored to donate $1 from the sale of each Hibiscus Superflower™ tin or One Cuppa™ box, up to $40,000 in contributions per partnership year, to help Action Against Hunger save the lives of children in need of nutrition treatment and clean water.
