At The Republic of Tea we embody the ancient Chinese philosophy of Tashun — the Great Harmony — when people naturally care about the world and depend on each other for the well-being of the whole. It is a collective concern for others and aspiration to seek opportunities, initiatives and actions that will better the human condition as well as the planet. To provide good works, render goodwill.
THE FORCE FOR POSITIVE CHANGE
The Republic of Tea launched a new charitable partnership in 2015 with the Xerces Society to support and elevate the buzz on pollinator conservation with its Biodynamic Chamomile Honey Tea. The Xerces Society is a nonprofit organization that helps protect wildlife through the conservation of pollinators, like bees, and their habitats, as studies show 85 percent of all plants exist due to pollinators.
The Republic of Tea established its partnership with Action Against Hunger and its Sip for Clean Water initiative in 2013, introducing the Hibiscus Watermelon Superflower™ Tea and the Hibiscus Watermelon One Cuppa Teas. In 2015, the brand added the entirety of its Hibiscus SuperFlower™ Tea collection to the partnership. A donation of $1 from the sale of each tea tin, up to $40,000 in contributions annually, helps Action Against Hunger save the lives of children in need of nutrition treatment and clean water. Recognized as a leader in the fight against malnutrition, Action Against Hunger saves the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.
