Winter Wellness for Cold Season

Hydration is key to wellness in any season. As winter carries on, we have asked our own Minister of Herbs to recommend a few soothing ingredients to have on-hand in order to boost immunity and warm your cup.

Ginger is one of the first herbs to reach for when feeling under the weather. Warming and stimulating, it has been used for centuries by many cultures to help fight colds and respiratory infections.*

Ginger Teas:


Elderberries are a well known folk remedy used to boost the immune system. Studies have shown that taking elderberry can help you feel better faster.*

Elderflower, known as the “medicine chest of the people,” has a long history as a favorite during cold season.*

Elderberry and Elderflower Teas:


Another herb that can help you feel better is echinacea. With a beautiful pink flower, the roots and leaves are used to make a tea. Sipping teas with echinacea can help to reduce cold symptoms.*

Echinacea Teas:

A duo of herbs that are wonderful for soothing scratchy throats are marshmallow and licorice roots. They work to loosen bad stuff and help soothe raw throats.*
