1. Chai Milkshake
Servings: 1 milkshake
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Tablespoon Chai
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
How to Make
In a blender, combine Tablespoon Chai, milk and ice cream. Blend until desired consistency is reached. Serve in a tall glass.
2. Chai Shortbread Cookies
Servings: 16–20 cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp Tablespoon Chai
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup confectioner’s sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
How to Make
In a food processor, pulse together the flour, Tablespoon Chai and salt. Add the confectioner’s sugar, vanilla and butter. Pulse together until dough is formed. Place dough on a sheet of plastic wrap or wax paper and roll into a log. Tightly twist the ends and chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Slice the log into ⅓” thick disks. Place 2” apart on parchment–lined baking sheets. Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Let cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Serve or store in an airtight container.
3. Irish Cream Chai Latte Cocktail
Servings: 1 cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Tablespoon Chai
- 8 oz hot water
- 2 oz Irish cream liqueur
- Whipped cream (optional)
How to Make
In a shaker or glass, combine Tablespoon Chai, hot water and Irish cream liqueur. Shake or stir until blended thoroughly. Top with whipped cream and serve.
4. Chai Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta
Servings: 2 panna cottas
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk, divided
- 1 tsp gelatin
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp Tablespoon Chai
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- Pinch of salt
How to Make
In a medium saucepan, mix gelatin into ½ cup milk. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Warm mixture over medium heat, stirring until the gelatin is dissolved. Whisk in the sugar until fully dissolved. Mix in the remaining ingredients.
Pour into two containers. Cover and refrigerate until set.
5. Fish Fillets with Chai Cream Sauce
Servings: 2 fish fillets
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Tablespoon Chai
- 1½ cups hot water
- 2 trout or salmon filets, about 3 oz each
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp butter
- ½ cup whipping cream or coconut milk
How to Make
Preheat oven to 425°F. Butter a baking pan and place fish in it. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Mix Tablespoon Chai with water and pour mixture over the fish. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes, depending on thickness of the fish. Remove from oven.
Strain cooking jus and pour into a saucepan. Stir in cream (or coconut milk) and bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat, stirring often, until the sauce is thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. Pour sauce over fish and serve immediately.
